There are a whole lot of beautiful, woody destinations in Rajasthan, and surely, Ranthambore National Park is one of them. It is located close to Sawai Madhopur, a township in Rajasthan.
Ranthambore National Park used to be a hunting ground of the royalty many decades ago. Home to tigers, leopards, marsh crocodiles and many other species of the wild, this place is a treasure trove. Further, there are a few sites worth visiting within the periphery of the temple–the Ranthambore Fort, a temple of Lord Ganesha, Padam Talao (lake) of lilies and a hilltop.
Exploring the stay options
Now, the real deal. Finding an accommodation in a remote location can be quite a daunting task, but Ranthambore being always on the radar on tourist map, there is no dearth of a suitable tourist accommodation in the area.
Tourists can choose to stay in a well-furnished tent, a resort or a hotel depending upon their budget, likes and taste. It should be noted that all the tourist properties are located outside the wildlife reserve, and there is no chance of any wild animal trespassing the boundaries.
You can book a room in Ranthambhore Kothi which is wonderful but an expensive property. Nahargarh and Taj Sawai Madhopur Lodge are also great options in Ranthambore.
Castle Jhoomar Baori by RTDC is perhaps the only property in Ranthambore that is located in the middle of a forest. Also, most of the resorts are situated on Ranthambore Road. Castle Jhoomar Baori used to serve as a summer rest house of the Rajas of Jaipur, which is best suited for tourists who would like to enjoy the view of Aravalli hills and the Ranthambore jungle, from their room itself. There are, however, no swimming pools or gym in the property premises.
Another cool option is to book an A/C Tent with White Mushroom Ranthambore. It is a well-rated budget resort that offers tents with attached bathrooms, complimentary toiletries and hot/cold water supply. There is a private sitting area in each well-designed tent and a large bed. The overall look given to the décor of each room is that of royalty.
Maa Ashapura Farms lie close to the national park; hence, it is a very green and spacious place to breathe in fresh air.
Tourists planning to visit Ranthambore may also be eager to explore other options, such as Kipling Lodge, Juna Mahal Ranthambore, Khem Vilas, Abrar Palace and Jungle Camp, Tiger Home Homestay and Tiger Moon.
