Dal Lake in Kashmir, apart from boasting of stunning views, now has an added attraction for tourists, i.e, a Musical Fountain and Laser Show. The show was recently hosted by the tourism department, which generated good response from both the locals and tourists, thereby prompting the department to continue the shows.
So, the good news now is that the tourism department has decided to run the Musical Fountain and Laser Show in Dal Lake every evening. Referring to this development, Tourism Secretary Rigzin Samphel stated that they have decided to run the shows in three shifts from 7 PM every day for 15 min.
The tourism department hosted the free trial of laser show in April 10 at 7 PM, which surprisingly attracted a huge number of spectators. The Tourism Secretary also mentioned that the facility has been commissioned to provide entertainment to tourist and locals, and also to make the city life lively.
As the news of these shows started trending, more visitors gathered at the venue, compelling the department to run the shows in three shifts every evening. Sampel also said that there will be no entry fee for the first 15 days to allow more people to enjoy the shows. He also informed that the department is making all effort to set up adequate infrastructure at all tourist hot spots across Jammu and Kashmir to make sure tourist and locals have a better experience.
