The church witnessed the struggle between the Indian soldiers and the British forces during the Revolt of 1857.

Sardhana Church, also known as the Basilica of Our Lady of Graces, is situated in Sardhana near Meerut. It is a Roman Catholic church that represents different architectural styles. There are two lakes near the church which were believed to have formed due to the removal of the mud.

Shahpeer Sahab ki Dargah was constructed by the Mughal Empress Nur Jahan for honouring a local Muslim, Hazrat Shahpeer. The Shahpeer Gate at this site was built in 1829 by a local jagirdar, Rajaji. The dargah has no roof and has various stone paintings. It is believed that the dargah was built 24 hours before the death of Shahpeer.
